ARA LLEIDA · Web portal

El Patronat de Turisme de la Diputació de Lleida is a tourism promotion agency established in 1989 for the management of the tourism offerings in the regions of Lleida: a privileged and welcoming land where you can enjoy a wide variety of sports, unique culture, authentic local cuisine, and rural tourism throughout the year. Across the territory, you'll find an extensive and diverse display of art and architecture, including the most important concentration of Romanesque art in Europe, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site: la Vall de Boí. Thanks to its diversity of natural spaces, including Catalonia's only National Park - Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici - its fast-flowing rivers ideal for rafting, and over 500 lakes to explore, Lleida is full of hidden gems to discover and share with friends or family, offering the most amazing experiences.

WEB PORTAL

Homepage

We have developed the new portal for Ara Lleida for the Diputació de Lleida. This region is considered a leader in adventure sports in Spain, with 223 specialized companies and the hosting of world championships (kayaking, paragliding, hang gliding, canoeing...), as well as a land of exceptional beauty for nature enthusiasts (hiking, long-distance hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, fishing, hunting...). With the homepage, we wanted to showcase all of this, so the image occupies the entire screen of the device.

Portal

website, made up of many other websites, is how the Ara Lleida portal is structured. Over the past few years, different teams, agencies, studios, auditors, managers... have been developing various projects separately and with different styles, which is why they did not have a direct connection between them. Therefore, the first effort has been to create a new web architecture to define the hierarchy of these projects, in order to integrate them into a single structure. Many of these have been kept in their original form (without any changes), which can help reduce costs and efforts, but allows for their development over a longer period.

Menu

And how do different websites integrate under the same hierarchical structure? Exactly, thanks to the menu. This is the most important element that gives sense and overall cohesion: in a single dropdown menu with different levels that displays all available sections, both internal to the same website and external. In this way, we ensure to the maximum that the user feels like they are continuing to navigate within the same portal and that they do not get lost in navigation.
