ASSOCIACIÓ GUIES DE GIRONA · Postcard

So we choose to create a postcard with a spectacular image of Girona with the caption 'Now that you have the postcard, we want to create an unforgettable experience.' And we close with the slogan 'Give meaning to your experience.' On one side, the photo of Sant Feliu and La Catedral with the text in Spanish, on the other, a photo of La Pujada de Sant Domènec with the text in English. In fact, we initially developed this latter option because it carries the full meaning: 'Now that you have the postcard, let's create an unforgettable experience.' And the slogan 'The experience that makes sense.

They are the association of official tourist guides and interpreters of the historical and artistic heritage of Girona and its province. All their members are professionally trained and authorized by the Government of Catalonia. They are passionate about art, history, culture, and gastronomy, which is why they are constantly sharing ideas and organizing training to expand and update their knowledge. They also love welcoming visitors, showcasing the most attractive aspects, sharing significant anecdotes, and giving their best, as they feel that guiding is in itself a rich and fascinating world.

THE POSTCARD

The Association wanted to create a promotional flyer for their activity. Strategically, it's a communication piece for hotel staff to send guests to Girona for their guided tour. Exploring the creative concept, we thought of two typical situations:

  • We keep the tourist lost in the streets of Barri Vell. That is to say, the significant difference between visiting with a guide or alone is that with the latter option, you get lost while exploring and taking photos, while with the former, you will "understand" the visit. We encounter it every day 😉
  • Postcards, especially those of Barcelona and Gaudí, scattered throughout Catalonia (even in Barri Vell). Tourists buying them as a memento of the visited city, and even of the one they haven't. This is where we get the idea for the format.
